New! Cyanotype notebook inspired by Cornwall’s coastal beauty
We've been busy working on new notebook designs, blending ocean-inspired design with eco-friendly materials. Each notebook is handcrafted with care in our studio in Cornwall, A5-sized and features an authentic cyanotype print, originally created using real seaweed collected from local shores.
The art of Cyanotype printing – How it's made
With all of our products, our designs begin with cyanotype printing, an historic photographic technique dating back to 1842. It's best known for its deep blue tones and intricate botanical impressions. The Seaweed Trio Coastal Notebook features a cyanotype print created using handpicked Serrated Wrack seaweed from Cornwall’s shoreline. Each piece of seaweed is carefully gathered, often after storms have washed seaweed onto the sands. It's then back to the studio for pressing and later printing from using the cyanotype technique.
